Retrofit measures included: external walls and roof highly insulated. Highly insulated extensions at ground floor and second-floor level. The ground floor floorboards were taken up and salvaged to create a timber clad wall and boiler cupboard. Ground floor insulated, new Douglas Fir floorboards put down. New energy-efficient boiler and Aereco demand-controlled ventilation system.
