OAKBANK LOFT

What we loved about this project:
This was an interesting project in terms of the effect of gaining more space. It has also been good to build this loft in a low-carbon way, using carbon sequestering materials such as wood fibre and cork and we had an airtightness strategy to tackle the remaining heat loss. We used the most up-to-date building techniques in eco-design, and this loft has been reported to perform so well that owners did not need to put their heating on in their new loft room for most of the winter.
